Does My PG Manager send rent reminders on WhatsApp automatically?
Yes. Once a tenant is added with a mobile number, the app sends a WhatsApp reminder before rent is due, an overdue reminder if it is not paid, and a receipt when the payment is recorded. You do not have to type or forward anything.
Is there an extra charge for WhatsApp reminders?
No. WhatsApp reminders are included in the ₹159/month plan with every other feature, and you can try them during the 14-day free trial.
Do my tenants need to install an app to get reminders?
No. Reminders and receipts arrive in WhatsApp, which your tenants already use. Tenants who want their full rent history, complaints and notices can also install the free My PG Manager Tenant app.
Which number are the WhatsApp messages sent from?
From the official, Meta-verified My PG Manager WhatsApp Business number, using message templates approved by WhatsApp. Each message names your PG, so tenants know who it is from.
Can tenants pay rent from the WhatsApp reminder?
Yes, if you turn on online rent collection. The reminder then carries a "Pay now" button that opens a secure payment page (UPI, cards and net banking). The rent record updates by itself when the tenant pays.
Can I turn WhatsApp messages off?
Yes. In Notification Settings you can switch WhatsApp, push notifications and email on or off for your account, separately for each channel.
